The play "Laddu" is a Hindi comedy play written by Shri Amul Sagar Nath. This play highlights the underlying reasons behind the crumbling walls of relationships in today's time.
Though humorous in tone, it conveys very important life messages — especially emphasising the significance of communication in the bond of marriage. It explores how a single moment can make or break a relationship, and how ego often stands as an unbreakable wall between people. Laddu attempts to break that very wall.
The play focuses on modern-day issues such as marriage, family pressure, and the clash of generational thinking. It also shows that speaking is important — but listening is even more vital. It reflects the laughter-filled reality of typical Indian family quarrels, the pressures of marriage, and the truth of relationships.
In its comic style, Laddu helps the audience understand that marriage is not just a union of two individuals, but of two families. However, the most essential ingredients in it are — understanding, freedom, & true love.
