'Kissa Anshan ka' by Harishankar Parsai is a story that revolves around a man's ten-day fast to press for his demands, which satirises political and social issues. In the story, Bannu's fast is a symbolic metaphor, which highlights the anomalies prevailing in he social and political system.
The government accepts his demands in principle, but a committee is formed to solve the practical problems. In this story, Parsai Ji has made a sharp satire on corruption, hypocrisy, and political selfishness.
