ASAHMAT

Asahmat is a witty and humorous play inspired by a satire of Hari Shankar Parsai. It follows the lives of two school teachers, Sulabh and Aarambh, as they navigate the complexities of friendship and ambition. Sulabh is eager to settle down and finds hope in online matrimony sites, while his friend Aarambh is consumed by his quest to pass the civil services exam. Known for his contrarian nature, Aarambh often engages in heated arguments, only to be disarmed when Sulabh quickly agrees with him, leading to comical exchanges.

The narrative takes a lively turn when Sulabh meets Rasika, a charming woman with whom he forms a connection. However, the appearance of Rasika•s ex-lover introduces unexpected twists and turns, adding to the comedic chaos of the story. Asahmat is a light-hearted exploration of friendship, love, and the absurdities of life, reminding us that sometimes, the journey is just as important as the destination.
