"Swang Multinational" (The Foolish King and the Three Thieves) is a sharp, satirical play that exposes the absurdity of power, the cunning of corrupt systems, and the helplessness of the common people, all delivered through comedy and irony.
The story revolves around a foolish king who holds the throne but has no real power. He is naive, indecisive, and unaware of how he is being manipulated. The actual control lies with three cunning "dakaits" (thieves), each symbolizing different pillars of society — politics, religion, and bureaucracy. These thieves exploit both the king and the people for their own selfish gains, all under the pretense of serving the kingdom.
While the king believes he is ruling the land, in reality, he is nothing more than a puppet in the hands of these corrupt forces. Through witty dialogue and exaggerated situations, the play reveals how blind obedience, weak leadership, and a passive society together create a system that robs the very people it claims to serve.
